Over 12,400 children in the United States are
diagnosed with cancer each year. That's a classroom full of children every
single day, year after year.

Field Expansion Project
"Completing The Dream"
You will be hearing that phrase a lot over the next three months and
for the next four years. That is because the Boise Noon
Optimist Club and the City of Boise have reached an agreement
or the Optimist to develop the 25 acres to the west of the Optimist
Youth Sports Complex (OYSC) and add it to the facility. When
completed the OYSC will be 52 acres
with a total of (16)
football/soccer fields, (2) fishing ponds, (2) covered picnic areas,
(2) playgrounds, and paved parking for (1000) cars. It will be
a great addition to the Boise City Parks system and one of the finest
youth sports facilities in the West.
When we began the work on the current OYSC, we called it our
"Field of Dreams" because it represented over 45 years of dreams
Of having our facility for the youth football program.
We also
knew it would only be big enough to handle the kids that were
currently in the program and not really handle any future growth.
This additional ground will give us the ability to contine to grow
and to make sure that Optimist Youth Football and Cheer
is available
to all youth in the Boise Valley who want to play. As we start
to work on funding this addition, we will need your help.
Just as
before, we need to raise cash, but we also can use donated labor,
materials, and just as important, contact and leads to potential
donors. With your help and support we can "Complete the Dream."
With heartfelt thanks,
Jerron Moore
