Optimist Cheer provides a camp t-shirt, cheer shell, cheer skirt and pom poms.
The Uniform items must be returned to OYF Cheer at the end of the 2008 season. The pom poms are yours to keep.

The participant provides athletic shoes, socks and cheer briefs (to go under the cheer skirt).

Other items:
Cheer uniforms or warm ups, purchased through the Optimist Cheer program, are the only apparel worn during games. Cheerleaders are welcome to purchase team apparel, i.e. sweatshirts, hats, etc. The team apparel may be worn at practices, but not during games. Cheerleaders may purchase Optimist Cheer warm ups to help stay warm or they may layer their clothing under the cheer uniform. This includes a turtleneck, under armor, tights, gloves, and hat. The restriction on uniforms promotes unity between the cheerleaders. They all look the same, making each cheerleader as special as the cheerleader next to her.

* The first priority is to place siblings, and/or friends on the same team (cheer & football).
There is a section on the registration form, you must indicate this request.

* The second priority in squad placement is determined by your school district, closest elementary or middle school.

* The third priority is determined by the area in which you live.

Our volunteers strive to place your child(ren) on the squad of your request.

However, due to age, weight restrictions and weigh in requirements at Jamboree, we can not guarantee team placements.
